Who We Are
The Clarksburg Church of Christ is a group of people who have been saved by Jesus through obeying his gospel. The Bible teaches us that the Lord adds us to his church when we are saved. The church is made up of the people of God; it is not a building. Our congregation strives to follow the Bible’s instruction about what the church is to do worshipping, spreading the gospel, helping those in need and encouraging one another to grow more like Jesus each day.
Our Guide
Our church believes that the Bible is God’s word and instruction to us. We believe it is as valid today as it was during the time of Jesus. We use the Bible as our guide in all that we do.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” —2 Timothy 3:16-17
What To Expect
People often feel nervous when visiting an unfamiliar church. We want you to know that you are welcome here at any time. We will do our best to make you feel at home. Here are some things you can expect if you decide to visit with us.
Dress - There is no “dress code” here. You will see people in a variety of clothing from suits and dresses to jeans and t-shirts. We only ask that you dress respectfully.
Parking/Entering - You can enter any of the doors along the front of the church building (facing Highway 424).
Bible Class - We have Bible classes for all ages of children (starting with the nursery) and adults. In Bible class, we spend 40 minutes studying specifics lessons from the Bible in a group setting.
Worship - Worship is the time that we give thanks and honor to God for who he is and all he has done for us. Our worship services last about an hour. Our time of worship includes praying, singing, preaching, the Lord’s Supper and giving.
